HURRICANE RELIEF

I would be willing to house up to 10 horses, 5 dogs, 2 cats for an unlimited time while people are getting back on their feet. We could probably do some pick up or at least meet people to transfer their animals. Of course we have a horse trailer and shipping kennels for any size dog or cats to facilitate the transport. We can provide Vet care and have an excellent Vet on hand for more serious, detailed care. Please note that for any relief victims, all boarding fees are waved. The only thing I ask is for help on paying for feed, if possible but this too can be waved for a limited time.

I understand there is grave need for this and there seems to be a problem with taking animals across state lines. Being in MS we could be a big help for those on the coast.

We have provided this service to other people in the past who were victims of Ivan, Dennis and Katrina. View our guest book for references.

If you are traveling through our area, we welcome you to contact us. Having traveled with our own horses, we would like to lend a hand to others in the same situation, by offering a safe place for you and your horses to stay one or two nights.

We are located in the northeast corner of Mississippi, 20 miles north of Columbus.

We have a six stall barn, and 30 acres which are divided into several lots of various sizes. All are connected to the barn, which has electricity and water. All lots have access to either a pond or creek and plenty of shade. Our fee per night is $5 per horse if pastured, $10 if stalled. We do not provide grain or hay. All horses must have health and coggins papers within the last year.

We can provide water & electric hookups for your camper or motorhome for $15 per night.

We also have two rooms available Friday and Saturday nights as a Bed and Breakfast. $30 single, $40 double, no more than two to a room per night. Each room is equipped with one double bed, dresser, and TV. Full bathroom in hall, and another 3/4 bathroom is also available for use. Breakfast will consist of joining us in our country kitchen for bacon or sausage, eggs, coffee and toast. Menu subject to slight changes. Breakfast time to be announced. No other facilities available.

Our home and barns are smoke free environments. Smoking is permitted on the screened-in back porch or anywhere outside.

Small pets are welcome but not inside the house. We do have outside kennels available free of charge if you are staying with us.
